Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy (IDET)

What is it?
IDET involves passing a wire into a damaged painful disk and placing it against the injured portion of the disk wall. The wire is then electrically heated to seal and toughen the tissue and relieve pain.

How long does it take?
The procedure takes approximately 40 minutes plus approximately 45 minutes to an hour of recovery time.
